Meet the Doctor:
Dr Kanoknuch Shiflett
Dr. Shiflett graduated from University of Southern California in
1992 and continued her education in General Practice Residency at Rancho Los Amigos
National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, California. During her residency training,
she had the opportunity to treat adult and children with special health care needs.
After finishing her residency program, she practiced general dentistry and realized
that her passion in dentistry was children and special health care need patients.
She furthered her training in Advanced Pediatric Dentistry at University of Southern
California and Miller Children’s Hospital at Long Beach and graduated in 1996. During
her residency, she received graduate student research award from the American Academy
of Pediatric Dentistry and the outstanding resident award from the program.
Dr. Shiflett was a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Southern California,
Department of Pediatric Dentistry and worked with non-profit Children’s Dental Health
Clinic in Long Beach from 1996-1998. Dr. Shiflett has been in private practice in
West Covina since 2000. She is a member of the following organizations:

- California Dental Association
- San Gabriel Valley Dental Society
Dr. Shiflett resides in West Covina. When she is not working she is very busy with
her three sons and husband.
Dr. Anna Lynn De Guzman
Dr. De Guzman is committed to providing expert dental treatment
and friendly, personalized service to ensure your child obtains the best possible
care.
She received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from the University of the
Pacific and she earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree from the University
of California at Los Angeles.
Following dental school, she completed two additional years of post-doctoral training
in Pediatric Dentistry. She was in the inaugural class of the new UCLA-Venice Community
Health and Advocacy Training (CHAT) program which was integrated with the UCLA CHAT
Pediatric Medicine training program. Dr. De Guzman is trained and qualified in the
management of child behavior and the provision of care utilizing various sedation
modalities as well as treatment of children with special healthcare needs.
As a UCLA faculty member in the department of Pediatric Dentistry, she currently
enjoys teaching pediatric dentistry to the next generation of oral health care providers.
She is also a member of various dental organizations including the California Society
of Pediatric Dentistry, the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, the California Dental
Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. De Guzman is passionate about improving oral health and looks forward to working
with you and your child.
